What is a Slot?

The HTML slot element is part of the Web Components technology suite and allows the separation of DOM trees. It contains global attributes and a name attribute. Named slots are the type of slot with a name attribute. This is the most common type of slot element. A named slot has the same attributes as a regular slot, but has a different name.
